lyrics

And now, here comes the sound
So familiar, so enigmatic
it’s heard so often, just pulls your heart out

so round, and so despair
second nature, to sadness
a sense of longing, so prevailing

No, I won’t be there
No, I won’t be there
the sound, just went underground

(bridge)
you better hit em right where it hurts
or they might just hit you back
yeah, they’re wearing the wrong color shirts
you anticipate their attacks

and, aw baby don’t let me hurt you now
get as far away as you can
you know they always got me lookin’ down
again and again and again.

(guitar solo)

no ground, no resolution
enough to spend, for days
you can have it, if you just want it bad enough

the hounds, I think they see me now
so I guess I’ll, just see you later
there is no boundary, once you’ve crossed it

but No, I won’t be there
No, I won’t be there
the sound just went underground.
